My passion for course design started early—already in primary school, all my notebooks were full of course sketches and sequences. I was the one who was building training courses on our training place since I remember. This love for creating courses has stayed with me throughout my judging career, from my early days as a national judge in Slovakia to becoming an FCI international judge in 2018.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of judging agility across most European countries, as well as Australia, Japan, Singapore, the USA, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and El Salvador. Every country brings something unique, and I love adapting my course philosophy to different venues and handler styles while maintaining that essential flow and fun factor.

Fun to run, Fun to watch, and Fun to judge, that’s for me the main purpose of any course. When designing, I focus on flow, relevant speed, and opportunities for diverse handling techniques. I love creating challenging courses that push people beyond their comfort zones—there’s nothing like watching someone break through their “I can’t do it” mindset and discover they absolutely CAN!

Below, you can explore courses I’ve designed for competitions around the world, as well as training courses.

And if I could share one piece of advice with you, it would be: Don’t be afraid to risk, and run on the edge. Allow yourself and your dog to fly high. Because that’s where the real fun begins.

“The trouble is, if you don’t risk anything, you risk even more.” – Erica Jong

Indeed! I couldn’t agree more.

Enjoy your training, wherever you are!
